Founded in 2013, Tomo’s Tackle is a tackle shop that can advise you on all things saltwater fishing. Whether it is catching smelt on an ultralight rod, or Giant Bluefin Tuna on a 130-size conventional reel we have the capability to outfit the world you fish in. We have the experience and know-how for jigging and popping for tuna, GT, and other pelagic species, while also having the capability to outfit the weekend warrior striper fisherman, or the passionate surf fisherman. Product Service
On top of our extensive inventory, we also expert line spooling on our in-house Triangle Sport HD140 Line Winder. We can spool anything from a 1000 size reel, all the way up to offshore big game reels. We carry a wide variety of line types and brands from hollow or solid braids, to monofilament and fluorocarbon. For big game anglers, we offer multiple types of rigging options, from a standard served connection to a monofilament top-shot, splicing loops into hollow line to allow for loop to loop connections using a wind-on top-shot. For the jigging and popping crowd, Tomo’s Tackle also stock’s pre-made jigging and casting wind-on’s using Seaguar Premier, and we can also rig reels using friction knots such as the PR or FG knot. If your preferences are otherwise, we can always custom make any wind-on you would like, as we carry multiple lines from Jinkai, Momoi, Seaguar, and Yo-Zuri.
Tomo's Tackle also offers rod service, and we can even repair rod tips while you while you wait in the store. We can also repair the running guides, as well as any damage your rod might have encountered. Please call or come in for an estimate on rod repair!
Location
We are located on the water on Pickering Wharf in Salem, MA. Running close by to the store are MA Routes 1A, 114, and 107. Approximately fifteen minutes from Interstate 95 and MA Route 128, we are a quick drive from anywhere in the greater Boston area. In between the historic fishing grounds in Gloucester, and on the way going south to Cape Cod, we are certain we carry a selection to help catch any species you desire.
