Century Joe Paiva Surf Rod
As the name implies "The Paiva Rod" was developed with renowned plug builder, Joe Paiva, for fishing big lures for big fish in heavy current and deep water.
This rod is similar in power and construction to the SS1329 but made in a 50/50 split and a smaller diameter with a 1K carbon armor.
A true beast of a rod, The Paiva will send big lures an extreme distance with pinpoint accuracy. And while The Paiva Rod was developed on the Cape Cod Canal as a big lure casting and jigging rod, it has proven to be a very capable chunking rod for 6 and 8 oz plus bait on the beach jetty and pier.
