Century Stealth Series Surf Spinning Rods

century-gold-large.jpg

The newly designed Century Stealth has been newly redesigned incorporating Century's TexTreme finish and AmTak guides. The TexTreme finish is a carbon cross weave surrounding the entire blank which increases the blanks durability. Despite the aforementioned slower parabolic action, this rod still packs ton of backbone. These rods are best suited for throwing eels, darters, Dannie’s and any other lipped swimming baits that are not aerodynamic.  The slower recovering action prevents extra tumble that a faster action rod will produce in the un-aerodynamic plugs. This rod is also good for the guys using light leaders for bait with circle hooks. The moderate tip lets you throw 3 and 4 oz sinkers on very light 15# Fluorocarbon leaders without having to worry about the leaders breaking. The difference between the S-1 models and the S-2 is the "beefy-ness" of the blank; the S-2 has more backbone.

***Please note that Century Rods are small-batch manufactured and delivered product may display slight variances from product photos. Please contact the store if you have any questions.***

About Century-

Having been in the business for over 40 years, Century knows that technological advances in their products are crucial to an angler's success on the water. This is why they are also a trusted manufacturer of aerospace components and Formula 1 race car parts. Their blanks are made in the UK using their Autoclave Technology to prolong the action, power, and recovery of their blanks. They also apply an Anti-Twist Technology to the blanks to reduce torque and increase distance and accuracy in each cast. The rods are assembled in the U.S. where premium guides, reel seats, and grips are fixed to the blanks by master rod builders. When you pick up a Century rod, you will be able to feel the thought and applied science that went into their product.
