Ripple Fisher Selfish Jigging Rods *Clearance Models*
The Ripple Fisher Selfish Jigging Rods have been newly redesigned in 2020. The new series of rods were designed to handle the new demands that are popular on the jigging scene. The rods are now able to successful slide or swim the jig naturally, maneuvering the jig to induce that “bite”. All models have the inherited the characteristics of the Selfish series with the slim, light and sharp feeling able to cut through the current, yet possessing a contrasting powerful butt section.

This model is not just about increasing the recommended jig weight and compatible line, but has further refined sensitivity and handling beyond the 613, allowing the angler to truly experience the feeling of hooking a fish.
True to its selfish nature, the rod absorbs the runs of bluefin and other pelagic species throughout its entire length, enabling an automatic fight. It is capable of handling a fight with confidence for species like yellowtail (buri) over 10 kg, and amberjack (kanpachi) and yellowtail (hiramasa) in the 7-8 kg range.

This model is thoroughly designed to meet the taper, length, power, and operability required for vertical jigging, exemplified by species such as the amberjack (kanpachi).
It can handle everything from high-pitch short jerks to sharp long jerks with just this one rod. During operation, it feels very firm, but after a hook-up, it forms a smooth arc, gently controlling the powerful runs of the amberjack.
