Ripple Fisher Ultimo Rod

ripple-fisher-logo.jpg

The old Ultimo was a GT model that specialized in pencil operation. The new Ultimo series is a model for both KINGFISH and GT, and is indispensable for landing large fish with its light weight, high balance, light cast feel, and strong butt power. We pursued the improvement of “Casting distance”, which is the key to casting game strategies. All models feature SiC-S titanium frame K+Sic-RV guides for optimal line management. A titanium ring with the model name engraved is attached to the bottom of the reel seat. By inserting a resin ring into the rubber cap of the grip end, it eliminates the sticking of the gimbal belt and the grip end during the fighting, making it smooth to insert and remove from fighting to landing.

Model Descriptions:

82ML:

This model possesses a finely tuned tip to allow for flexibility and crispness in the top section of the rod. This makes it an ideal model for topwater fishing for GT and Yellowtail with diving pencils. The blank's high responsiveness helps absorb the intense runs of large fish, reducing strain and enabling the use of lighter force to activate the rod's butt section. The strong butt section provides maximum lift force which is essential for fighting against large fish in rocky reefs. The medium-light blank, which achieves a lightweight and highly balanced construction, offers a smooth, efficient, and long-distance cast every time.

83M:

The 83M is Ripple Fisher’s model boat casting rod. It possesses peak casting, handling, fight ability, and overall balance. This model is able to cast medium weight plugs like diving pencils and small diameter poppers, even against a strong headwind. The blank provides a sharp, responsive feel while remaining light and easy to handle. Its sensitivity allows the use of a broad range of tactics in even the most challenging conditions. The rod maintains solid tension under the pressure of a fighting fish and delivers a strong lift force. This is an ideal rod for GT and large Yellowtail.

86M/B:

The 86M/B was designed from the ground up to enhance the castability, operability, and fight performance necessary for a baitcasting rod. Specific attention was paid to the finer details. The rear grip was placed further back to allow for smoother casting, and the front grip is composed of a rubber material allowing for a firm hold on the rod. The guides are a larger diameter to accommodate thick lines, long leaders, and different line systems. The advantages of using a baitcasting setup include a stable flight position when casting big lures and powerful retrieval. This rod was made with small cupped poppers and diving pencils in mind. Since this model is light weight, it is an ideal option for new and experienced anglers looking for a baitcasting rod.

710MH:

The 710MH offers a firm blank which makes sharp actions on the lure an ease. Large diving pencils, sinking pencils, and medium diameter poppers are the ideal plugs for a rod of this caliber as they produce a lot of resistance in the water. While stiff, its shorter length still maintains a light, smooth feel with excellent maneuverability. The strong butt section ensures the fish never gets the upper hand in a fight. Although it is a medium heavy blank, it remains light and usable for those who may be lacking physical strength. It also remains ideal of those who fish in ever changing conditions.
