Yamaga Blanks "Global" Slow Jigging Rods
New for 2024, the Galahad “Global” Slow jigging rod series are dedicated slow jigging rods that can be used to target various species in oceans around the world. The power class of each rod is set according to the best jig weight of each model. The different models can be used to work jigs from as low as 80g all the way up to 500g. The updated blank design has been perfected to make it easy to add pumps in addition to the natural slow pitch of the rod, allowing anglers to have a rod that can be used with both slow pitch and speed jigging.
Model Descriptions:
621: A subtle model for attacking with sensitive tackle using light line. The flexible tip suppresses the initial speed of the jig, automatically making a natural fall action. This model is necessary for targeting fish with low activity or for situations where a sensitive strategy is required, like when hooking a nibble that seems to play around with a jig, or where fish often shake the hook.
622: A basic model for comfortably manipulating jigs at a wide range of depths. Its delicate and highly sensitive feel allows the jig to slide and make a natural fall action with light force. These features allow the user to enjoy every step of fishing with the rod from jigging to hook-up. This model can cover a wide range of species like sea bream, Blue runner, and rock fish in shallow to deep areas.
623: A PE2 class model that can comfortably handle 200-300g jigs. The main feature of the Galahad Slow series is its all-rounder performance, which has a lot of latitude in action to manipulate the jigs that suit a variety of target species. It covers a wide range of techniques, from a quick action for blue runner to a natural fall action for sea bream and rock fish.
584: To comfortably manipulate 300 to 500g jigs under special conditions, like deep water, heavy currents, or complex double tides, the blank has strong tension and torque, even in high water pressure. This allows the angler to transmit action to the jig with less burden on their body. The result of this effortless transfer of energy to the jig is the ability to do both a quick action, when targeting high-speed species like amberjack, and a fall action. This model is also recommended for targeting large rock fish in deep water.

About Yamaga Blanks-
Rod building is a craft that Yamaga Blanks, a sister company with Ripple Fisher, has been perfecting since 2008 in their factory in Kumamoto, Japan. The craftsmen that work on these rods are seasoned and often have discussions with the designers to create a better product. Rods are repeatedly tested to make them tougher, lighter, and easier to fish.
