With plug ratings ranging from 15-100g and 40-300g the ZENAQ Plaisir Answer SOPMOD is a go to rod for catching seabass with big bait. Although there are rods produced to throw big lures, this rod is special built for the big bait fishing style that has been categorized by a few underground anglers in Japan. Developed mainly for giant bait sea bass games from boats, it can also be used wading with a big pencil or to catch catfish at a short distance. The Fuji Titanium SiC guides make casting giant lures feel like your casting normal big bait.*
PA-B80 SOPMOD-In the battle against lost fish in seabass fishing, the essential performance required from a big bait rod is "the power to handle large lures and the action that bends to follow the fish's pull."the PA-80B features a meticulously calculated balance of power, resilience, and flexibility, providing the perfect backbone for big bait fishing. Unlike traditional big bait rods, it allows for a stable cast with a proper load during the backswing, enabling long-distance casting even with unstable wooden joint lures. It also gives you full control over large lures with significant resistance, allowing for precise placement of big swimbaits. After hooking, the rod is designed to handle rapid changes in load—such as full tension, fish shaking its head, or sudden pulls near the shore—allowing the rods supple and flexible nature to absorb these forces. This results in an extremely high fish capture rate, regardless of the seabass size. The rod length, handle design, and guide setup have all been custom-developed from scratch to perfectly suit this style of fishing, making it a truly specialized, purpose-built rod.
