ZENAQ Tobizo Popping Rod

Encompassing over 20 years of experience in building offshore popping rods, the Tobizo offshore rods are the pinnacle of ZENAQ'S innovation. Translated from Japanese, "Tobizo" means "distance", and this is what this rod excels at. Built from the ground up with new Toray T1100G carbon which also features nano-alloy technology, this material gives the rods immense lifting power for their weight, through a parabolic action which is designed to beat on the fish, instead of the angler, while also giving the angler long casts to target busting fish from yards away. All rods are built with a proprietary ZENAQ hexagonal front grip which gives the angler maximum grip strength, while also allowing for precise lure control when working stickbaits or poppers. TC80-50G and TC80-80G are finished with Fuji Titanium RG guides, while all the other rods are finished with Fuji Ocean Guides. All rods incorporate a Fuji DPS reel seat.

Please note: TC80-50G comes with single-footed running guides, while TC80-80G running guides are double-footed.

TC80-50G- This model is equipped with precise castability and the RG guide system, offering excellent casting distance, making it suitable for targeting a variety of different species. While focusing on casting distance, it also allows for precise lure manipulation with high elasticity carbon blanks, enabling sharp actions with lures weighing around 50g. TC80-80G- This rod excels in long-distance casting with lures around 80g and is a versatile all-rounder, capable of targeting blue runners, tuna, and other species such as yellowtail around 20kg. It covers a wide range of lure weights from 40g to 110g,and with the RG guide system, it offers excellent casting performance. Combined with superb lure manipulation and fighting power, this rod provides exceptional overall performance. Whether for domestic or international expeditions, this rod shines in various marine environments and conditions. TC84-100G-This rod excels in long-distance casting with lures ranging from 60g to 150g, allowing you to reach previously unreachable hit zones when casting at feeding frenzies. Designed with a rod taper that ensures sufficient casting distance and the ability to create enticing lure actions even with lures around 40g, it is ideal for tuna casting games. The rod power is tailored for targeting main species like tuna in the 30kg to 50kg range, and during test fishing, it successfully landed tuna over 70kg, demonstrating its impressive potential. Additionally, the rod's design considers the long, strenuous battles typical with tuna, reducing strain on the angler while gradually lifting the fish, ultimately increasing the chances of a successful landing.

TC86-110G- This rod optimally stores casting power when handling lure weights, releasing it in an instant to achieve astonishing casting distances. Known as the "Flyer Tobizo," this model lets you experience its overwhelming performance. It is a perfect match for lures around 110g, specifically designed with the main target being bluefin tuna. Not only does it offer exceptional casting distance, but the rod’s entire structure absorbs the powerful runs of a big fish, and during the lift, it converts its "bend into lifting power." This masterpiece model is the result of a combination of ZENAQ'S blank crafting technology and Toray’s super carbon TORAYCA® T1100G, making it a highly advanced rod capable of handling the toughest battles.

TC83-150G- Building on ZENAQ'S 20 years of experience with GT rods, this model incorporates super carbon technology to achieve even greater casting distance and sharp lure action, designed to tackle big GTs and large tuna. Best suited for lures around 150g, the rod's balanced design ensures there is no sense of tip-heavy fatigue, minimizing physical strain and supporting an entire day of full casting during boat games. Its robust construction, which minimizes the risk of breakage, is a crucial feature for long-range expeditions.
